Here is news about a neat new program under way by Seattle Channel.

Straight from the press release:

"Community Stories: A documentary series for the Seattle Channel"

SEATTLE - The Seattle Channel announces the new documentary series Community Stories as part of the station's ongoing programming that seeks to engage all citizens in the civic life of our city.

Seattle is a city of many people and many stories; stories that can communicate our differences but also bring to light our similarities. Community Stories is a new television series committed to presenting the stories of our city's diversity, a compelling and proactive reflection of a wide array of Seattle's community members and groups.

Community Stories will be character driven and well-told short documentary pieces about the inspirational people, the relevant issues, and the cultural traditions and rich histories that make up our many communities. These television profiles will highlight our citizens through stories consisting of personal interviews, slice of life episodes, and insightful portraits. The Seattle Channel is asking individuals, community leaders, community associations, neighborhood centers, ethnic groups, new Americans, seniors and young people to tell their stories for television."
